Project purpose:
The purpose of the project was to provide the Cambodia Department of Fisheries and its human resource development agencies, the Royal University of Agriculture and the School of Agriculture at Prek Leap with the knowledge and skills needed to design and deliver aquatic resource management programming at various levels.

Key results to date:
As a result of the five-year project, both participating Cambodian institutions are better able to deliver academic courses and conduct research in areas relevant to aquatic resource management. In addition, the professional skills and capacities of fisheries officers employed by the Department of Fisheries have also been improved with the establishment of a sustained professional development program within the department.
