How
to search the database
Begin
by specifying the matching criteria from one or more of the five
control list boxes. For example, you may select all agreements
in the Caribbean that deal with faculty exchange.
One or more selections may be made within each list, and you may
make selections from all five lists. The default selection for
each of the control lists is " All ...". We do not recommend
that you leave all the list box options to the default value since
a large volume of output will be generated which may cause a lengthy
response time. Users must narrow down the scope of their selection
process. The database has in excess of 2,200 records and an "ALL"
selection criteria for all the list controls will generate an
output document in excess of 1.5M bytes. Therefore, a user editable
limit control has been placed on the form to regulate the amount
of information that can be retrieved at one time.
We suggest, for example, that you select one or two countries
from the country list and two subjects/disciplines from the discipline
list. Action is triggered when you click on the "Search"
button.
