Profile

Trinity Western University (TWU) is a faith-based institution – one inspired by Christ’s life and guided by his teachings. The result is a university that emphasizes excellence in academic scholarship, while always keeping in mind how the knowledge and understanding we gain through study can serve the world’s deepest needs.

Located in British Columbia’s beautiful Fraser Valley, just 45 minutes from downtown Vancouver, Trinity Western University is a Christian liberal arts and sciences institution offering 54 undergraduate degrees and 18 graduate degrees including business administration, nursing, theology, leadership and counselling psychology. In addition, TWU now offers adult degree completion for working adults. A commitment to developing the whole student – academically, socially, physically and spiritually – distinguishes TWU as an institute for leadership development.

Taught by some of North America’s finest scholars who have thoroughly integrated their studies with their faith, Trinity Western students acquire the thinking skills, expertise, professional abilities and character qualities essential for today’s marketplace. Small class sizes and personable professors ensure lasting relationships that enrich the education experience.

Research institutes include the Dead Sea Scrolls Institute, the Septuagint Institute and the Gender Studies Institute. TWU also offers cooperative education and continuing education programs, online learning and leadership development programs.

In addition to its Langley campus, TWU boasts the Laurentian Leadership Centre in Ottawa (Ontario), the TWU Bellingham campus in Bellingham (Washington), and the Crow’s Nest Ecological Research Centre on Salt Spring Island (British Columbia).
