Founded in 1852 as the Church of England University
in Canada, Trinity College has been federated with the University of Toronto since 1904 and shares its services and facilities. Undergraduate students in arts and science apply through the University of Toronto and receive their degree from that institution.
The college provides a diverse, challenging and engaging academic community to supplement the university experience. Graduate students in theology are admitted directly
to the college and have access to the resources of the Toronto School of Theology.
Innovative programs offered by the college include immunology, international relations, ethics, society and the law. The college recognizes the value of its Anglican heritage
and welcomes students from all religious, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds.
In addition to the academic requirements of the university, the college places an emphasis on students’ intellectual, leadership and community interests, abilities and activities.

Personal support services
Students are offered counselling, advice and personal support through the registrar’s and dean of students’ offices, and the chaplain. For other services, see the University of Toronto chapter.
Academic support services
The college has its own library, math aid centre and writing advisory centre. Academic dons, graduate or professional faculty students living in residence, offer students academic counselling and tutoring. First-year student programs
The Margaret MacMillan Trinity One program provides first-year students with the opportunity to explore major issues in international relations or ethics. Housing
On-campus: Approximately 25 percent of students live in the college residences. A large proportion of first-year students and all upper-year students have single rooms in the traditional dormitory-style residences, with a choice of two meal plans. There are two dining halls with a variety of menu options. Annual cost of room and board: $10,800 - $11,300.

Sports

Student assistance
Undergraduate/Graduate/International: Trinity College issues more than $1 million in scholarships and bursaries to its students each year, in addition to awards granted by the University of Toronto. The college offers approximately 100 entrance scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,500 and approximately 400 in-course and graduation awards for exceptional student achievement. A number of bursaries are awarded to students in financial need. A few awards have greater value, including: two William and Nona Heaslip scholarships to students entering second year ($15,000 x three years), the Nora Whitney prize for studies in France or Quebec while using French ($10,000), and the William and Nona Heaslip Trinity-St. Antony’s Scholarship to graduates in International Relations for study at St. Antony’s College, Oxford ($50,000 x two years).
