We are a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization, funded through membership fees and revenues from contract management services and publications.

Each member institution of AUCC is represented by its executive head. The association's business is conducted by a 13-member board of directors, made up of 12 university presidents and the president of AUCC. The activities of AUCC are coordinated by our secretariat, located in Ottawa.
